Digital Mirror with inbuilt memory was conceptualized as a potential product category for the future during a self initiated experimental project at LG Electronics India by the Strategic Design Research team comprising of Paul Sandip, Shruti & Charu K. The proposed product LG360° was meant to allow users get a full 360° view of their naked body when placed inside the bathroom. The 3D scanner could be used to record the Body Composition Data which in turn could calculate the body's distribution of fat and weight to suggest health and beauty tips. For commercial application, it could be used in shopping malls where users can get a 360° view of the various dresses they try out. It could even record and be used for comparing various looks.
The idea was conceived in 2009 and submitted to the idea bank of LG Design Center, Seoul. Never heard about the development since then, until we saw the idea in reality at select Neiman Marcus stores in Dallas, USA | 2015
